Class detailing how to respond to a critical life-saving emergency. This course teaches skills so that you can be prepared to assess a scene with safety and respond promptly to a person suffering a medical episode until an ambulance and qualified EMS arrive.
You will be learning how and when to determine if help is needed, including the warning signs of heart attack and stroke.
Class concludes with your National CPR/AED First Aid Certification.

We will also be discussing Disaster Response and the cause and effects of different types of widespread emergencies such as Natural Disasters, Technological Disasters, Social Disasters, and Complex Disasters.
In this portion of the class, you will learn the purpose, functionality, and use of an AED on a person experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
Having access to an AED and knowing how to use one is critical.
Every second counts.
You will learn:
1) Age and weight restrictions for the use of the AED.
2) Presence of water or liquid on or around the victim.
3) Presence of transdermal medications, implanted pacemakers or automatic implanted cardioverter-defibrillators.
At the conclusion and successful completion of this course, you will be a Certified authorized individual who is eligible to use an AED on an appropriate patient.
