STOP THE BLEED

–  A class focused on how to prepare yourself to assist an injured family member, friend, colleague, or even a stranger following traumatic circumstances. You will be learning what actions to take step by step to help the injured person. The course will conclude with your National STB Certification.  

Topics to be discussed:  

• How to correctly and immediately respond to bleeding.  
• Promptly recognizing life-threatening bleeding.  
• The correct ways to stop the bleeding.  
• When and how to use the appropriate dressings for different types of bleeds, including tourniquet placement.  
• Wound packing and direct pressure    

The Primary Principles of Immediate Response such as:  

• Ensuring your safety.  
• The ABCs of Bleeding.

The help given by an immediate responder can often make the difference between life or death, EVEN BEFORE professional rescuers arrive.
